01. TELL US HOW YOU STARTED THE ¨ONE MAN¨BAND PROJET?

I spent ten years of my life playing electric guitar in a garage metal bands. Mainly trash metal, stoner rock etc. Probably I always hook up with the wrong people or something but things didn't go anywhere. Usually some of the band members started to skip rehearsals and rest started to show up drunk. I put a lot of effort, time and money to raise up a functional band. I always considered myself as a person who showed up only for the music and the band projects were very important to me. When I had beat my head against a stone wall for ten years I decided to try making everything by myself as I was the song writer or one of the song writers in a bands I was in. I had dozens of draft songs and I had no more trust on co-operation with the other musicians. For me being one man band, at the end, was the only option.

02. ONE MAN BAND WHAT IS YOU RECIPE TO START THE PROJECT. CREATIVITY AND TECNOLOGY OR SOMETHING ELSE?

When I started I had some minor understanding about recording because I´ve recorded some demos with the bands. I had one sennheiser microphone, three electric guitars and a laptop. So I just started to record some draft songs and also at first time in my life I started to study issues concentrating on mixing and mastering etc. I found out that The studio knowledge, the science behind the sound is as big as the knowledge of playing the instruments. Programmed classical music and dark ambient are perfect for a one man band which I compose occasionally. Music which is made by synths is way more easy to record. I´m still in progress and I have still ,in studio-wise, lots to learn. For Creativity I have no problems I have tons of unrecorded material. All I am lacking is the time. It takes more time to do everything alone.
WHAT ARE YOUR INFLUENCES?
Musically my influences are coming mainly from old traditional doom metal, dark ambient and all kinds of dark atmospheric music. As being one man band I´ve also started to respect other one man bands like Burzum which I didn’t listen before. Other influence is the nature. Forests and forgotten places with no human beings. I live almost like a hermit in a house next to forest with 25km distance to closest town.

04. WHY THE NAME MENTAL FLAMETHROWER?

I´m introvert and passively aggressive. A Quiet guy with mean thoughts. Heh I´m bursting flames, no one just can’t see them.

05. WHAT´S THE MESSAGE BEHIND YOUR LYRICS?

All my music is instrumental so far.06. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF RELIGIONS?

All religions are just tools of power. A tool which was made by small elite to control you and blind you. Individual personal faith does not need churches or mosques.

07. HOW´S THE FINNISH UNDERGROUND SCENE?

I think the best era was before the mainstream success of bands like Children of Bodom and Nightwish etc. the Best time for Finnish underground was the “beherit days” like -90... . At some point lot of Finnish bands got world famous and it affected negatively to underground scene. The Major mainstream success of Finnish metal in a country small like this resulted lot of ego problems among musicians as some were confident that they were the next big thing. Bands started to copy each other instead of making their own music. The best Finnish underground music is still coming from the old bands which were formed in -90.

08. WHAT´S THE BLACK METAL IN YOUR LIFE?

For me black metal stands for freedom and eternal fight against totalitarianism, especially resistance against Islam and communism.

09. WHAT´S THE SATANISM FOR YOU?

Satanism for me is the respect of nature. I don't harm animals just for fun. I listen to myself before I listen to what human-made institutions are forcing me to do. That is what nature and animals will do.
I´m studying ancient ways of life. About How the society worked before religion from the middle east came and destroyed the ancient kingdoms. My ancestors were not born Christians. I consider that interest as part of satanism. Satanism is a mindset. There´s no walking Satan. There´s no hell or afterlife whatsoever.

10. TELL US NOW YOUR FAVE BANDS AND ALBUNS?

This one is a hard question because my favorite bands and albums varies all the time. Bands which I listened few years ago are not my favorites anymore. At the moment I´m listening Beherit – Electric doom synthesis. I´ve also found plenty of good music from soundcloud for example Agurzil from Morocco.
When I was a kid my favorite bands were wasp and Iron Maiden. There was no black or death metal at that time.

11. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE?

None

12. WHAT´S YOU MESSAGE TO THEM WHO BECOME ¨ONE MAN BAND¨ TOO, AND ALL OF BLACK METAL LOVER?

If you´re thinking of founding a one man band, don’t hesitate, just do it. Just throw yourself in. All traditional bands are usually, after all, just a formations of a one man band. In a band there´s always a carrying force which is usually one person. Don’t waste your time on projects which are doomed to fail.
To all black metal lovers, black metal guys are usually trustable , keep on going, shoot straight and speak the truth.
